nitrogen Command Examples in Linux

“nitrogen” is a graphical tool for browsing and setting desktop backgrounds in X Window environments. It provides a user-friendly interface for selecting and managing desktop backgrounds, making it easy for users to customize their desktop environment.

With “nitrogen”, users can browse through a directory of desktop background images and preview them directly on the desktop. 2. Set the wallpaper with automatic size settings:

3. Restore the previous wallpaper:

# nitrogen --restore
