The Issue
Security error on Elasticsearch configuration. After making all needed changes and saving the template, when clicking the Execute button; you get a dialog box with the following message:
Authorization Error -- Contact your Security Administrator (124,188)
The Solution
Make sure that all the users have FULL access to the following Web libraries:
Note: These WEBLIB’s are delivered based on new PeopleTools, if it is not available to your instance it means it delivered in new tool set so you can ignore it.
WEBLIB_PORTAL WEBLIB_PT_NAV WEBLIB_PTPP_SC WEBLIB_PTPPB WEBLIB_PTPPB1 WEBLIB_PTRC WEBLIB_TIMEOUT
All these web libraries can be added to one permission list that all users have in common, granted through a role. When adding the web libraries remember to edit each one and give full access or they will not be saved on the permission list.
The default PeopleSoft delivered “PeopleSoft User” (PTPT1000) Permission list is delivered with the correct access given to these web libraries. If the PTPT1000 permission list has been cloned or a custom permission list is being used to grant web library access, then the needed web libraries must be manually added to the cloned permission list.
If PTPT Permissions missing, issue trying to configure HCM 9.2 test environment to use Elasticsearch.
1. After you create a template, you must add the template to a permission list. PeopleTools provides the PTPT4800 specifically for the purpose of automated configuration.
2. Use the ACM Templates page to add a template to the PTPT4800 permission list.
3. Access the ACM Templates page by using the following navigation path:
– select PeopleTools, then select Security, then select Permission & Roles, then select Permission Lists and click the ACM Templates tab.
4. Add a template to the permission list.
Note: If a template is not added to the PTPT4800 permission list, you cannot use the template for a configuration run.
